Why girls’ education        What we do        Ignite change

Thank you for stepping up. Your signature has been recorded.

You’re now part of the Global Sisterhood. By joining together, we’re using the power of numbers to “be the change” to help solve the world’s biggest problems.

Before you go, will you please make a donation?

Your donation will help us expand our grassroots-led model, supporting girls to go to school alongside boys. We create the environment for girls to thrive – including through peer mentorship – and to build fulfilling livelihoods. Graduates join our Sisterhood of change leaders, transforming their communities from within, and addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges – multiplying your investment. Thank you for stepping up for female education and leadership!

See what your sisters are up to!

CAMFED’s change leaders go on to build eco-friendly businesses, create jobs and opportunities, and lift up the next generation. Your Sisters are changing the status quo for women and girls in their communities – dramatically advancing gender equality, social justice, sustainable economic development, and climate action.

What is the Global Sisterhood?

You’re now part of a rapidly growing collective of women using their resources and influence to lift up others, with a special focus on lifting up the most vulnerable girls in the world. Through your pledges and actions, you are joining forces with the Sisterhood at the heart of the award-winning non-profit CAMFED (the Campaign for Female Education)

CAMFED’s African Sisterhood – the CAMFED Association – is made up of girls educated with CAMFED support. It’s Africa’s fastest-growing network of women professionals and activists. Through the network, young women support each other with the training and resources to become independent and influential. And they join forces to tackle the incredible challenges girls in their communities face.

The power of Sisterhood exponentially multiplies your investment in girls’ education.

Ignite the Multiplier Effect

Girls educated with CAMFED support grow up and become leaders — doctors, teachers, business owners, activists. And they then send 3 (or more!) girls to school.

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof of described CAMFED as the “perpetual motion machine.”

We call it the CAMFED Multiplier Effect.
